Role: Cyber Security Analyst (UAE National)

Job Description – SOC Analyst L1 (Security Monitoring)

Position: SOC Analyst – L1

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in Cyber Security/SOC Operations.
  • Freshers with relevant certifications and internship experience may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and triage security alerts using SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, Splunk).
  • Perform initial investigation and validation of security events.
  • Analyze logs from Windows, Linux, Firewalls, VPN, Active Directory, Cloud, and Endpoint Security solutions.
  • Create and update incident tickets, document findings, and escalate confirmed incidents to L2/L3 teams.
  • Follow SOC playbooks, incident response procedures, and SLA requirements.
  • Support 24x7 SOC operations in rotational shifts.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of SIEM, EDR/XDR, Windows, Linux, Networking, and Cyber Security concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, Splunk, Microsoft Defender, or CrowdStrike is preferred.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, and Windows Event Logs.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+
  • Microsoft SC-200
  • EC-Council Certified SOC Analyst (CSA)
  • Splunk or IBM QRadar certification (preferred)

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
