Job description
Midwife — Home Healthcare
Nightingale Health Services LLC | Dubai, UAE
Department: Maternity & Newborn Care | Type: Full-time
Location: Field-based across Dubai (client homes), Al Ameri Tower, Barsha Heights
About the role
Nightingale Health Services is a DHA-licensed home healthcare provider and polyclinic delivering care to families across Dubai. We are expanding our Maternity & Newborn division and are looking for a Registered Midwife to provide antenatal, postnatal and newborn care in clients' homes.
You will be the lead for each family you visit — assessing mother and baby, supporting feeding and recovery, spotting complications early, and escalating appropriately. You will work with a high degree of autonomy in the home setting, backed by our on-call physicians and nursing leadership.
Key responsibilities
Postnatal & newborn care
Perform newborn assessments: weight, temperature, feeding, output, jaundice screening, cord care, sleep and safety
Provide breastfeeding and lactation support — latch, positioning, supply, engorgement, mastitis identification, expressing and storage guidance
Support formula and mixed feeding families without judgment, and teach safe preparation
Screen for postnatal mood changes and refer for appropriate support when indicated
Educate parents on newborn care basics: bathing, cord care, nappy care, safe sleep, recognising when to call for help
Clinical governance & documentation
Document every visit accurately and contemporaneously in the record, same day
Work strictly within DHA scope of practice and Nightingale protocols and policies
Maintain infection prevention and control standards in the home setting
Manage and account for equipment, consumables and any medications carried
Escalate any deterioration, safeguarding concern or incident through the correct channel immediately
Service & family experience
Communicate with families clearly, warmly and professionally, in person and over phone/WhatsApp
Respect cultural, religious and personal preferences in a highly diverse client base
Maintain strict confidentiality and patient privacy at all times
Coordinate with the Home Care Coordinator on scheduling, visit reporting and follow-up care plans
Requirements
Essential
Valid midwifery registration/licence in home country
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification midwifery experience (home country or UAE)
Strong assessment skills for both mother and newborn
Excellent spoken and written English
Comfortable working independently in clients' homes across Dubai
Desirable
Home Country Midwifery License
UAE/Home Country experience in newborn or home healthcare
Lactation qualification (IBCLC or equivalent) or advanced breastfeeding training
Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and BLS certification
What we offer
Competitive salary package with allowances
Visa, medical insurance cover as per UAE law
Structured onboarding and ongoing clinical training
A growing Home Nursing division with real career progression
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
