Store Operations Supervisor –Repair and Maintenance

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise the overall daily operations of the repair and maintenance center.
  • Manage and coordinate technicians and staff across different repair and maintenance services.
  • Supervise the receiving, diagnosis, repair, testing, and collection/delivery of customers’ items.
  • Ensure proper handling and documentation of all customer equipment received for repair.
  • Monitor repair jobs and ensure they are completed accurately, efficiently, and within the promised time.
  • Supervise the repair and maintenance of:
  • Musical instruments
  • Amusement center equipment
  • Electrical household appliances
  • Electronic instruments, devices, and equipment
  • Air-conditioning, refrigeration, and air-purifying equipment
  • Scales and dry-measure equipment
  • Telecommunications equipment
  • Cookers and cooking stoves
  • Auto phones/vehicle phone systems and related equipment
  • Mobile phones
  • Watches and clocks
  • Antennas
  • Computers
  • Office machines and calculators
  • Photocopiers
  • Oversee mobile phone upgrading and related technical services.
  • Assign repair jobs to the appropriate technician based on their skills and specialization.
  • Monitor technicians’ productivity, quality of work, attendance, and performance.
  • Ensure technicians follow proper repair procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Inspect completed repairs and ensure equipment is properly tested before being returned to customers.
  • Handle technical issues or complex customer complaints and coordinate with technicians to resolve them.
  • Maintain proper records of repair orders, quotations, completed jobs, warranties, spare parts, and customer information.
  • Monitor inventory and availability of spare parts, tools, accessories, and repair materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for required spare parts, tools, and technical materials.
  • Control repair costs, wastage, and unnecessary replacement of parts.
  • Prepare and monitor quotations and estimates for repair services when required.
  • Ensure customers are regularly updated regarding repair status, costs, delays, or additional work required.
  • Ensure proper customer service and professional communication at the service center.
  • Monitor cash/POS transactions and ensure proper collection of repair service payments.
  • Ensure the workshop/store is clean, organized, and safe.
  • Ensure all customer items and equipment are properly labelled, stored, and protected against loss or damage.
  • Monitor warranty and after-sales service claims.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering repair jobs, sales, pending jobs, completed jobs, spare parts, and technician performance.
  • Identify operational problems and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Train and guide employees on company procedures, customer service, equipment handling, and workplace safety.
  • Coordinate with management regarding major technical issues, staffing requirements, equipment, and operational needs.
  • Ensure that complies with applicable health, safety, technical, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Technology, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in repair, maintenance, technical services, or a multi-service workshop environment.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team-lead position is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment, mobile phones, computers, telecommunications equipment, household appliances, and other technical devices.
  • Experience supervising multiple technicians and different repair categories.
  • Good knowledge of diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to evaluate repair requirements and provide or review technical quotations and estimates.
  • Good knowledge of spare parts, tools, inventory control, and workshop equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good leadership and team-management abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve technical/service issues professionally.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and monitor multiple repair jobs simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems/POS, with the ability to prepare operational reports.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and workplace procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay: AED4,999.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
