Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment / Auto Electrician to diagnose, maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems of heavy vehicles and construction equipment such as mobile cranes, trailers, boom loaders, wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, telehandlers, trucks and other heavy machinery.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with 12V/24V vehicle electrical systems, wiring, sensors, control systems and electrical diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out electrical maintenance on cranes, trailers, boom loaders, wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, trucks and similar equipment.
• Inspect and repair wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, terminals, switches and electrical circuits.
• Troubleshoot and repair batteries, alternators, starters, relays, fuses and charging systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults related to sensors, ECUs, control modules and electronic control systems.
• Repair and maintain vehicle lighting systems, warning lights, indicators, horns, alarms and safety devices.
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, lighting and control-system problems.
• Install and maintain additional electrical accessories such as work lights, reverse cameras, GPS, alarms and emergency lighting.
• Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance according to equipment schedules.
• Use multimeters, diagnostic scanners and other electrical testing equipment to identify faults.
• Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams, schematics and equipment manuals.
• Carry out electrical inspections before and after repairs.
• Attend equipment breakdowns at workshop, site or project locations when required.
• Coordinate with mechanics, operators and maintenance supervisors to identify and resolve equipment faults.
• Maintain proper records of inspections, repairs, replaced parts and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Follow all HSE, PPE, LOTO and site safety requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as an Auto Electrician / Heavy Equipment Electrician.
• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment, construction machinery or heavy vehicles.
• Experience with equipment such as cranes, trailers, loaders, excavators, forklifts, telehandlers and trucks is preferred.
• Good knowledge of 12V and 24V electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Good knowledge of batteries, starters, alternators, relays, fuses, sensors and wiring systems.
• Experience using a multimeter and electrical diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of ECU, CAN-bus and electronic control systems is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle A/C electrical systems is preferred.
• ITI / Diploma / Technical Certificate in Auto Electrical, Automotive Electrical, Electrical or related field is preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Good safety awareness and problem-solving skills.
