Consultant Family Medicine - American Board / UK CCT - Dubai

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Family Medicine Physician to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognized American Board certification or UK CCT in Family Medicine / General Practice and have strong experience providing comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare to patients across different age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary and family medicine care to patients across the lifespan.
• Conduct consultations, clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including:
  • Diabetes and hypertension
  • Hyperlipidemia
  • Cardiovascular risk factors
  • Respiratory conditions
  • Gastrointestinal disorders
  • Common infections
  • Musculoskeletal conditions
  • Thyroid and other endocrine disorders
• Provide preventive healthcare, health screening, and routine medical assessments.
• Perform age-appropriate health checks and vaccinations where applicable.
• Provide women's health and men's health services within the scope of practice.
• Provide basic pediatric and adolescent primary care.
• Identify patients requiring specialist evaluation and make appropriate referrals.
• Develop individualized treatment and preventive care plans.
• Promote lifestyle modification, nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and continuing medical education.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventive health.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

Required Qualifications

• Medical degree: MBBS, MD, MBChB, or equivalent.
• American Board Certification in Family Medicine OR
• UK CCT in General Practice / Family Medicine.
• Valid UAE professional license or eligibility for licensing in Dubai.
• Good standing with the relevant medical licensing authority.

Experience

• Consultant-level experience in Family Medicine / General Practice.
• Strong experience in comprehensive primary care and preventive medicine.
• Experience managing patients with multiple chronic conditions is preferred.
• Experience in a reputable hospital, medical centre, or primary care setting is desirable.
