Assistant/ Full Professor - Robotics

Advance Khalifa University’s research, education, and innovation in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence through high-impact scholarship, teaching, graduate supervision, and academic leadership.

About the Role

The Department of Computer and Information Engineering invites applications for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor positions. Successful candidates will contribute to research and education in robotics and AI, with focus areas including AI for robotics, robotic autonomy, and intelligent autonomous robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internationally recognized research in robotics and artificial intelligence.
• Publish in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Secure, manage, and deliver funded research projects.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in robotics, including robotic systems, AI for robotics, mapping, and localization.
• Supervise graduate students in line with academic rank and experience.
• Contribute to curriculum development and innovation in university education.
• Support collaboration, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and innovation activities.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service as appropriate.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Research record commensurate with academic rank and experience.
• Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching in relevant robotics and AI subjects.
• Record of successful graduate student supervision appropriate to academic experience.
• Evidence of success in securing and managing funded research projects.
• Strong publication record in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
• Demonstrated commitment to curriculum development, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer.
