We are seeking technical specialists with deep expertise in electronics setup conception design, programming, operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in developing next-generation optical components and 5D memory crystals.
You will join our R&D team in Switzerland as an electronics engineer. You will further develop our state-of-the-art lab and support the operation of advanced femtosecond laser systems. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for innovation, looking to influence the future of material processing and data storage technology.
Job responsibilities
- Designing, inspecting, testing, and updating electronic systems, components, equipment, and software of the femtosecond material processing and optical device fabrication teams
;
- Designing digital circuits, prototyping and programming FPGAs, including functional verifications, RTL simulations and timing analysis
;
- Design digital systems for high-speed robust data transfer between various devices
;
- Observing existing processes and making recommendations for improvement of the devices in the material processing and fabrication laboratories
;
- Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, and integrating new technologies into the workflow
;
- Writing specifications, instructions, reports
;
- Evaluate failures and implement corrective actions on opto-electronic systems in the material processing and device fabrication laboratories;
- Interact with material processing and device fabrication teams providing information, coaching and technical assistance needed
;
- Contributing to the definition of technology development requirements and work plans for the company’s products roadmaps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
;
- +3 years experience in FPGA design, programming
;
- Proficiency in a hardware description language (VHDL, Verilog) and scripting skills
;
- Advanced knowledge of communication protocols and architectures for large-scale high-speed data transfers
;
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills.
