Application Administrator ( Information Security ) (UAE National)

Job Description Functional and technical responsibilities :

• Actively participates in and is accountable to assigned work teams .
• Perform initial analysis of the end-users application requests.
• Acts as the IT technical support person for all implementation and enhancement of the assigned application(s).
• Assist end-users in defining business requirements and documenting business cases.
• Assist in documenting RFPs for the requested applications.
• Participate in solutions/products technical evaluation.
• Develop technical and functional knowledge of the application .
• Actively participate in applications implementation process including applications installation , configuration and testing .
• Participate in the testing and certification for features ' compliance.
• Perform quality check on basic data set-up to identify any technical problems .
• Co-ordinate and assist the setting of IT facilities and end-user client environment.
• Develop training material and end-user operating guides .
• Conduct applications ' user trainin g fo r n ew u sers o r r e fr es h trainin g for e x i s tin g users .
• Produce and de v elop report s requ es t e d b y u se r s o r man ag em e nt.
• Continuousl y monitor and evaluate opportunit ies for te c hn o lo gi cal enhanc e ment s or workfl ow re engineering in u s er department s.
• Ev aluat e user reque s t s for c han ges a nd r eco mm e nd s additional desired fun c tion s and report s .
• Comply with all information security policies , procedures & guidelines of DHA as applicable .
• Liaison with all concerned personnel for achieving and maintainingfull compliance with the IS Security Policies , Procedures& Guidelines
• Promote Information Security awareness and help build security culture.
• Report securityincidents or potential events or other security risk to the organizationto the concerned
• Protectinformationassetsfromunauthorizedaccess , disclosure , modification , destruction

Qualifications Minimum Qualification: BSc . or HD in computer science , MIS or related software engineering fields; Desired : Good knowledge of DBMS (Oracle) and SQL scripting . Excellent knowledge of networks and Windows . Basic knowledge of VB programming language .

Minimum Experience : 2yearsexperienceasprogrammerorapplicationsupport officer; Desired : 5 years of experience in a similar position .
