Jr. AV Presales & Design Engineer

A Junior Audio-Visual (AV) Presales & Design Engineer bridges commercial sales and technical system architecture, translating customer requirements into technical AV solutions (corporate boardrooms, classrooms, auditoriums, or digital signage) prior to project installation.

Core Responsibilities

• Technical Presales Support: Assist senior engineers and sales teams with client site surveys, understanding user requirements, and selecting appropriate AV solutions.
• System Design & Schematics: Draft single-line diagrams (SLDs), signal flow schematics, floor plans, and rack layouts using CAD or Visio.
• Bill of Materials (BoM) & Quotations: Select compatible equipment (displays, matrix switchers, DSPs, control processors, speakers) and compile itemized BoMs with detailed cost estimates.
• Tender & Bid Compliance: Review Request for Proposals (RFPs) and compliance matrices to ensure proposed designs meet technical standards.
• Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with AV manufacturers to source and verify design feasibility.

Key Technical Competencies

• AV Architectures: Understanding signal paths (HDMI, DisplayPort, HDBaseT, AV-over-IP like Dante, AES67, NDI).
• Software Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Visio, Revit, or specialized AV design tools (e.g., D-Tools).
• Control & DSP Concepts: Fundamentals of control systems and digital signal processors for audio tuning.
• Networking Basics: IP addressing, VLANs, PoE standards, and bandwidth calculations required for AV-over-IP deployments.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
