The Role

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Helper to support daily fresh produce processing activities. This role assists with preparation, sorting, packing, cleaning, material handling, and general operational tasks while following established food-safety and workplace procedures.

The successful candidate will contribute to smooth production workflows and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient processing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, sorting, washing, preparing, and handling fresh produce.
• Support packing, labeling, weighing, and preparation of products for dispatch.
• Inspect produce for visible damage, contamination, spoilage, or quality concerns.
• Move raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products safely within designated areas.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations, processing areas, and equipment.
• Follow food-handling, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist processing and warehouse teams with routine daily operational tasks.
• Ensure materials and products are handled carefully to minimize waste and damage.
• Report equipment issues, product concerns, shortages, or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Complete assigned duties efficiently while supporting overall production targets.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food processing, fresh produce, warehouse, manufacturing, hospitality, or general operations is preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of workplace cleanliness, safe material handling, and basic food-hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and quality requirements accurately.
• Good physical coordination and ability to perform repetitive operational tasks where required.
• Strong attention to product quality and workplace organization.
• Reliable, punctual, responsible, and willing to support team priorities.
• Ability to work cooperatively with production, quality, warehouse, and logistics teams.
• Basic communication and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work independently when assigned routine responsibilities and adapt to changing operational needs.
