About us Kattegat.app is the hospitality marketplace of Dubai. We connect venues, hotels and restaurants with suppliers, services, equipment, entertainment and talent, all in one place. Our team has been operating in the Dubai hospitality industry since 2015. We have spent the last two and a half years building the marketplace and we launched it to the market on 1 September 2026. The role You will run our events department. This is not an assistant role. You will be the person in charge of taking an event from the first client conversation to the last light being switched off. Weddings, corporate events, birthdays, private parties, brand activations, product launches, gala dinners. You will design the concept, plan the logistics, pull in the right sellers from the Kattegat.app marketplace and deliver the event on the day. You will work directly with the founders and you will be trusted to build and run this department your own way.

What you will do

• Meet clients, understand their brief and design creative event concepts that win the job
• Plan and manage events end to end, including budgets, timelines, layouts, run sheets and on site delivery
• Source and coordinate sellers and suppliers on the Kattegat.app marketplace, from venues and decor to catering, AV, entertainment and staffing
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage them before, during and after the event
• Build proposals, mood boards and presentations for clients
• Be on site running the show on event days
• Grow the events department as the marketplace grows

What we are looking for

• Minimum six years of experience as an event planner, event designer or event manager in the UAE
• A portfolio of events you have designed and delivered yourself. Weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, private events. We want to see your work
• Strong creative eye. You can design a concept, not just execute someone else's
• Your own network of suppliers and resources in Dubai. Decor, florists, caterers, AV, entertainers, venues. You bring your contacts with you
• Confident with clients, confident with suppliers, calm under pressure on event day
• Able to manage budgets, timelines and multiple events at the same time
• Organised, self managed and able to run a department without daily supervision
• Valid UAE driving licence is a must. Your own car is preferred but not required
• Based in Dubai
