Job description
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Support / Infrastructure Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience to support and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, end-user systems, Microsoft 365, Azure, servers, networks, cybersecurity, and IT assets.
The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, infrastructure monitoring, user support, IT security, asset management, vendor coordination, and implementation of IT processes and projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesIT Support & End-User Services
- Provide onsite L1 and applicable L2 IT support to end users during business hours.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, application, email, printing, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and replace desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Provide technical support for meeting rooms, conference rooms, and company events.
- Ensure timely resolution and proper documentation of user incidents and service requests.
Microsoft 365 & Azure
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Support corporate email, user accounts, mailboxes, permissions, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Provide administration and technical support for Microsoft Azure and its components.
- Support user onboarding, offboarding, account management, and access requirements.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and Azure-related issues.
Server, Network & Infrastructure
- Perform day-to-day server, network, and infrastructure operations and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, and connectivity issues.
- Perform server and system maintenance, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Install and configure operating systems, applications, firmware, and system components.
- Perform backup and restore operations as required.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for infrastructure support and maintenance.
Patch Management & Security
- Perform regular operating system, software, firmware, application, and security updates.
- Conduct proactive security checks and implement required remediation actions.
- Identify and troubleshoot potential security and system issues before they impact business operations.
- Support the company's overall cybersecurity posture.
- Prioritize and respond to high-priority IT and security incidents.
ISO& IT Compliance
- Implement and maintain IT processes in accordance with certificate requirements.
- Maintain required IT documentation, records, policies, and evidence.
- Support internal and external IT audits.
- Assist the company with preparation for future ISO certifications.
- Ensure compliance with company IT and security policies.
IT Asset & Inventory Management
- Manage the complete IT asset lifecycle, including deployment, reuse, replacement, deprecation, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate physical and digital IT asset inventories.
- Maintain IT storerooms and ensure proper organization of IT equipment.
- Perform periodic IT asset audits and submit reports to management.
- Maintain records of hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions, passwords, keys, certificates, and other IT assets.
Service Desk & Documentation
- Create, update, assign, track, and close IT tickets, incidents, requests, tasks, and projects.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in the Service Desk system.
- Track action items and coordinate with business users for timely completion.
- Ensure IT documentation and asset information remain accurate and up to date.
- Prepare periodic IT operational and audit reports for management.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Assist the procurement team in sourcing IT hardware, software, licenses, subscriptions, and technology solutions.
- Evaluate IT products and technologies and provide technical recommendations.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Act as a technical liaison between Company IT and external vendors/contractors.
- Coordinate installation, replacement, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
IT Projects & Technology Improvement
- Suggest and implement practical IT solutions using available resources.
- Research, test, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency.
- Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations, deployments, and improvement projects.
- Provide technical support for company events and special IT requirements.
User Onboarding & Offboarding
- Ensure compliance with IT procedures for employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Configure user accounts, computers, applications, email, and required access.
- Ensure IT assets are properly assigned and recovered.
- Disable or modify user access promptly during employee separation or role changes.
Reporting & Coordination
- Coordinate with the IT Manager, Line Managers, business users, vendors, contractors, and relevant authorities.
- Create and track IT tasks and provide appropriate action items to business users.
- Conduct periodic IT audits and submit findings and recommendations to management.
- Perform additional IT tasks as assigned by the IT Manager or Department Line Manager.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in IT support, system administration, infrastructure, or a similar IT role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows operating systems.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure administration.
- Good understanding of servers and enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with IT hardware, software, backup, restore, patching, and system maintenance.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience working with IT Service Desk/ticketing systems.
- Good documentation, reporting, and asset management skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Azure Administrator – AZ-104
- Microsoft 365 certifications
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
- ITIL Foundation
- ISO 27001 Foundation / Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor
- Cisco / Aruba / Fortinet certifications
Required Technical Skills
The candidate should have practical working knowledge of:
Microsoft: Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Group Policy
Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switching and network troubleshooting
Infrastructure: Physical/virtual servers, storage, backup and restore, firmware and patch management
Security: Endpoint security, antivirus/EDR, access control, security updates, vulnerability remediation
IT Operations: Service Desk, IT asset management, documentation, auditing, vendor coordination and IT processes
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on IT professional with 4+ years of experience, capable of independently handling day-to-day IT support while also supporting servers, networks, Microsoft 365, Azure, cybersecurity, compliance, and infrastructure operations.
The candidate should demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, take ownership of assigned tasks, communicate effectively with users and vendors, and proactively identify opportunities to improve the company's IT environment.
