Role Description
The Machine Vision Engineer role at The Vydar Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Delft. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing machine vision algorithms that run on constrained embedded hardware, in particular NPU-based accelerators, in support of autonomous vehicle platforms and integrated defense technologies. Day-to-day tasks include developing and training detection, tracking, and segmentation models, quantizing and compiling networks for the target NPU, profiling latency, memory, and power budgets, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams such as software, AI, electrical, and mechanical engineering. The Machine Vision Engineer will also participate in data collection and annotation pipelines, on-vehicle integration and field testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of the perception stack to meet real-time performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
Qualifications
- NATO CITZENSHIP
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design with proven proficiency in Altium Designer
- Candidates should possess skills related high-speed communications i.e PCIE, MIPI, DDR3/4/5 etc
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Proficiency with altium designer is a must
- Ability to work on-site in Delft, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and communicate technical information clearly.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe and reliable system design.
