Job description

Job Description:

About the company we're hiring for currently:

UAE-based pioneer delivering customer-centric experiences and unparalleled opportunities through cutting-edge technology, with six innovative tech ventures across the globe.

Job Description:

The System Admin & Digital Merchandiser will be the day-to-day custodian (of the SFCC backend) of setting up campaigns and the SaaS tools that power our app's backend operations. This role is primarily hands-on: keeping catalog, pricing, and content data accurate and up to date, administering the SaaS platforms connected to the Company app, and ensuring the backend runs smoothly for our business teams day-to-day.

We are looking for a hands-on E-commerce Platform Administrator / Digital Merchandiser to manage the day-to-day backend operations of our e-commerce platforms and applications.

This is a desk-based, operational role for someone comfortable working inside systems for most of the day — managing product/catalog data, uploading files, updating prices, configuring promotions and campaigns, maintaining content, and ensuring that information across the platform is accurate and up to date.

Our primary commerce platform is Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), specifically the Business Manager backend. The ideal candidate does not need to be an enterprise IT professional or a software developer. We are looking for someone who understands e-commerce operations, has experience working with backend/admin platforms, and can confidently operate and maintain an already-established system.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dedicated, technically comfortable, and enjoys hands-on system work.

****

Key Responsibilities

SFCC / Business Manager Operations

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the E-commerce Business System.
  • Maintain and update product catalogs, SKUs, categories, attributes, images, and product information.
  • Upload and manage product/catalog files and ensure data is correctly reflected on the platform.
  • Manage pricebooks, pricing updates, promotions, campaigns, and merchandising configurations.
  • Set up and activate campaigns, promotional offers, and other merchandising activities in the e-commerce business system.
  • Manage content slots and other backend content updates as required.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs, imports, exports, and routine system processes.
  • Identify and resolve routine data or configuration issues within Business Manager.
  • Ensure that all backend changes are accurately implemented and properly checked before going live.
  • Maintain user access and permissions within the relevant business systems.

E-commerce Data & Catalog Management

  • Maintain high-quality and accurate product data across multiple brands.
  • Regularly check product information, pricing, images, categories, availability, and promotional data.
  • Perform data checks and reconciliations to identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent information.
  • Work with Excel/CSV files and other data formats for bulk uploads and system updates.
  • Ensure that data uploaded into the platform follows the required structure and formatting.
  • Maintain data accuracy across Idealz, Winnrz, Dream Dubai, Modesh, and WellPlaid.
  • Support inventory and product-feed updates where required.

Campaign & Merchandising Support

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to implement campaigns and promotions in the e-commerce business system..
  • Translate campaign requirements into the appropriate backend configurations.
  • Upload campaign-related files, products, pricing, promotional rules, and content.
  • Schedule and activate campaigns according to agreed timelines.
  • Check campaigns after implementation to ensure that products, prices, offers, and content are displaying correctly.
  • Support day-to-day digital merchandising activities and ensure the online/app experience remains accurate and up to date.

E-commerce Systems & SaaS Tools

  • Work across different e-commerce, SaaS, and business systems used by the company.
  • Learn and operate multiple backend platforms and tools connected to the commerce ecosystem.
  • Coordinate data and information between the e-commerce business system and other connected systems such as ERP, OMS, CRM, payment, marketing, and inventory platforms.
  • Investigate discrepancies between systems and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Become the go-to operational person for routine backend and platform-related requirements.

Operations & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor day-to-day platform operations and identify issues before they impact business teams or customers.
  • Investigate failed uploads, incorrect data, campaign configuration issues, and other routine backend problems.
  • Escalate technical issues to the Technology team when required, while taking ownership of the operational follow-up.
  • Work with Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, and Technology teams to resolve system and data-related issues.
  • Maintain checklists and standard operating procedures for recurring backend activities.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain records of catalog updates, campaign changes, uploads, and other backend activities.
  • Prepare basic reports and reconciliation sheets related to catalog, pricing, campaigns, and system data.
  • Maintain documentation for recurring processes and backend configurations.
  • Ensure changes are properly tracked and communicated to relevant teams.

  • Strong Excel/CSV and data-management skills.
  • Good understanding of basic e-commerce concepts and workflows.
  • High attention to detail and strong data accuracy.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive but important operational tasks and maintaining accuracy throughout the day.

  • Experience working with ERP, OMS, CRM, inventory, payment, or marketing systems.
  • Basic understanding of XML, APIs, feeds, or data integrations.
  • Basic SQL or data-querying knowledge.
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail, marketplace, D2C, or app-based e-commerce company.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are specifically looking for someone who is:

  • Hands-on and operational, rather than an enterprise IT professional.
  • Comfortable spending most of the working day working on a computer and inside backend systems.
  • Someone who enjoys managing data, products, catalogs, campaigns, and platform configurations.
  • Technically comfortable enough to understand how different systems work together, without needing to be a software engineer.
  • Experienced in working with multiple systems and SaaS tools.
  • Extremely detail-oriented when working with product, pricing, and campaign data.
  • Reliable, dedicated, and able to independently manage recurring backend activities.
  • Ideally, someone coming from an e-commerce, marketplace, app-based, retail, or digital commerce environment.

Important

This is not an Enterprise IT / Infrastructure / Network / Cloud Administration role.
