Mechanical Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician – MEP to carry out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, equipment, and building services within buildings and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical MEP systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, pumps, valves, piping, and other mechanical systems.
• Carry out maintenance and inspection of elevators/lifts, heavy machinery, window cradles/BMU systems, and other building mechanical equipment.
• Inspect mechanical equipment and identify faults, defects, and potential issues.
• Carry out testing, commissioning, and functional checks of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Read and understand mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Assist engineers and supervisors during installation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work is completed according to approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and other MEP teams when required.
• Follow company HSE procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Technician in MEP, facilities management, or construction.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, pumps, piping, and mechanical building services.
• Experience with elevators/lifts, heavy machinery, window cradles/BMU systems, or similar building equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and use basic hand and power tools.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of UAE safety standards and MEP practices is an advantage.
