Job description

We are seeking a skilled and versatile AV & Entertainment Technology Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our extensive inventory of event equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all audio-visual systems, DJ gear, musical instruments, and stage lighting fixtures are in peak operating condition. Your work will directly support live events, concerts, and corporate productions by minimizing technical downtime and ensuring equipment safety.Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and mechanical faults in AV systems, DJ controllers, media players, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, and moving-head lighting fixtures.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Perform basic repairs, tuning, and setups for backline instruments, including guitars, bass guitars, drum kits, and electronic keyboards.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Clean, service, and test gear regularly to prevent failure during live events.
  • Cable and Rigging Care: Repair and solder custom cables (XLR, DMX, SpeakON, HDMI) and inspect rigging hardware for safety compliance.
  • Inventory & Bench Testing: Bench-test equipment returning from events, log damaged items in the inventory management system, and track repair statuses.
  • Component-Level Troubleshooting: Read schematics and use diagnostic tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes to replace faulty components, circuit boards, and connectors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience repairing electronic equipment, specifically within the live events, broadcast, or music retail industries.
  • Soldering Proficiency: Advanced soldering skills for circuit boards, surface-mount components, and heavy-duty audio/lighting connectors.
  • Gear Knowledge: Deep familiarity with industry-standard brands (e.g., Pioneer DJ, Shure, Yamaha, Allen & Heath, Martin Lighting, Chauvet, Fender).
  • Diagnostic Skills: Ability to read electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
