CCTV Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated CCTV Engineer / Technician to handle the installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of CCTV surveillance systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience with IP and analog CCTV systems, NVR/DVR configuration, structured cabling, networking, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission IP and analog CCTV systems.
• Install and configure IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, PoE switches, monitors, and related equipment.
• Perform CCTV camera mounting, alignment, focusing, and positioning.
• Configure camera IP addresses, recording settings, motion detection, and user access.
• Configure remote CCTV viewing through mobile applications and web interfaces.
• Troubleshoot CCTV cameras, NVR/DVRs, storage, network connectivity, and power-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and periodic health checks of CCTV systems.
• Diagnose and resolve camera offline, video loss, recording, storage, and connectivity issues.
• Perform CAT6/network cabling, termination, testing, and labeling where required.
• Configure basic networking components such as PoE switches, routers, VLANs, and IP addressing.
• Conduct site surveys and identify suitable camera locations and coverage requirements.
• Prepare basic installation reports, testing reports, and site documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, customers, and other technical personnel during installations.
• Support CCTV system upgrades, expansions, replacements, and migrations.
• Ensure installations comply with project specifications and applicable UAE security requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to customers when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in Electronics, Electrical, IT, Networking, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of IP CCTV and analog CCTV systems.
• Experience with NVR/DVR configuration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, PoE, and basic networking.
• Experience with CAT6 cabling, RJ45 termination, cable testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CCTV brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Hanwha, Uniview, or similar.
• Ability to use basic tools and testing equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• UAE driving license would be an advantage.
• Ability to work at customer sites and travel within the UAE when required.

Preferred Certifications

• CCTV / Security Systems certification
• Basic Networking certification such as CCNA
• Vendor certifications from Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Hanwha, etc.
• SIRA-related knowledge/certification would be an advantage for UAE projects.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, technically strong, customer-focused, and capable of working independently at project sites. Experience in system integration companies, ELV companies, security solution providers, or IT infrastructure companies will be preferred.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
