News Content Writer

UAE Startup Story is hiring a News Content Writer to cover the latest developments in the UAE startup and business ecosystem.

The role involves finding news, researching stories, verifying information, and writing timely articles about startups, founders, funding, companies, technology, investments, and business developments in the UAE.

What you will do

• Find relevant and timely startup and business news from reliable sources.

• Write daily news articles based on company announcements, press releases, funding news, product launches, partnerships, acquisitions, and other business developments.

• Research stories using company websites, official announcements, government sources, and credible news platforms.

• Verify facts, names, numbers, dates, and company information before publishing.

• Identify the actual news angle instead of simply rewriting press releases.

• Write clear headlines, introductions, and news articles that quickly communicate what happened and why it matters.

• Cover UAE startups, founders, investors, technology companies, and the wider business ecosystem.

• Monitor breaking and developing business news for potential stories.

• Update articles when new information becomes available.

• Add relevant sources and links to support factual information.

• Follow editorial standards for accuracy, originality, attribution, and responsible reporting.

What we are looking for

• 1 to 3 years of experience in journalism, news writing, business writing, or digital media.

• Excellent English writing and editing skills.

• Strong research and fact checking skills.

• Good understanding of news writing and editorial practices.

• Interest in startups, business, technology, finance, and the UAE market.

• Ability to identify what makes a development newsworthy.

• Ability to write quickly without compromising accuracy.

• Comfortable working with deadlines and publishing multiple stories.

• Basic understanding of SEO and Google Search is a plus.

• Experience with WordPress or online publishing platforms is a plus.
