Legal & Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the company's legal and compliance management framework .
• Develop legal/compliance policies, procedures, standards and work plans.
• Drive implementation of compliance requirements across business functions.
• Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle , including drafting, reviewing and improving commercial contracts and contract templates.
• Identify contractual and legal risks and provide appropriate recommendations to business stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on contract management to relevant business units and regional entities.
• Coordinate and manage litigation and arbitration matters .
• Conduct case reviews to identify legal risks and implement preventive measures.
• Provide day-to-day legal consultation and advisory support to business departments.
• Build and manage relationships with external law firms and legal advisors .
• Support company registration, corporate amendments and other corporate legal requirements.
• Manage trademark and intellectual property-related matters .
• Support the development and improvement of contract-management platforms and legal/compliance digitalization initiatives.
• Perform other legal and compliance responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Economics, Finance or related discipline .
• Minimum 3 years' experience within Legal, Compliance, Corporate Legal or a related function.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, company/corporate law and intellectual property law .
• Strong experience in contract drafting, review and legal risk identification .
• Experience working across multiple business functions is preferred.
• Business-facing/in-house legal experience would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with the UAE legal and judicial environment is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of UAE business registration and intellectual-property procedures would be advantageous.
• Strong written communication, analytical and legal-documentation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and coordination capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
