Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in mall facilities management to join our Facilities Management team. The candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and supervision of mechanical systems and equipment within shopping malls and commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day mechanical facilities maintenance activities within the mall.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, ventilation systems, exhaust systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Plan and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and corrective maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with technicians, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and mall management.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential breakdowns or maintenance requirements.
• Attend and resolve mechanical breakdowns and technical issues within the required response time.
• Ensure all maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently, and according to the required standards.
• Prepare and review maintenance reports, PPM schedules, checklists, work completion reports, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with the mall operations team regarding maintenance activities and minimize disruption to mall operations.
• Monitor subcontractors and ensure work is completed as per specifications and agreed timelines.
• Maintain proper records of mechanical assets, maintenance activities, spare parts, and equipment history.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, facility procedures, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Assist in preparing maintenance plans, manpower requirements, material requirements, and maintenance budgets.
• Support energy-saving initiatives and recommend improvements to mechanical systems.
• Respond to client and management requests and provide timely technical updates.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and smooth daily operation of the facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Facilities Management, preferably in shopping malls, commercial buildings, or large-scale facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, chillers, pumps, ventilation, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
• Experience in PPM, corrective maintenance, breakdown management, and facility operations.
• Good knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and technical documentation.
• Experience in supervising technicians and coordinating with subcontractors.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency breakdown situations.
• UAE facilities management / mall experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of BMS and HVAC control systems.
• Experience working with mall management and client representatives.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance activities and priorities effectively.
• UAE driving license is an must
