Store & Receiving Clerk - Restaurant & Retail

We are looking for an experienced and organized Store & Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in cafés, restaurants, bakeries, catering, food & beverage, hotel, or retail operations and be familiar with receiving, checking, storing, and issuing food and non-food items.

The Store & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and quality, maintaining accurate receiving records, organizing stock, supporting inventory control, and ensuring that all products are properly stored and available for daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and approved orders.
• Check the quantity, quality, expiry dates, batch numbers, temperature, packaging, and overall condition of received items.
• Report any shortages, excess quantities, damaged goods, incorrect items, or quality issues to the Purchasing/Management team.
• Ensure all received goods are properly documented and recorded in the relevant system or receiving records.
• Verify that chilled and frozen products are delivered at the required temperature and stored immediately after receiving.
• Ensure food, beverages, packaging materials, consumables, and other supplies are stored in the correct designated areas.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO principles and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Assist with issuing food ingredients, beverages, packaging, consumables, and other supplies to the relevant departments against approved requests.
• Maintain accurate records of goods received, stock issued, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with monthly inventory/stocktaking.
• Identify and report slow-moving, damaged, expired, or near-expiry items.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the concerned team when items require replenishment.
• Maintain proper organization, cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within all storage and receiving areas.
• Ensure dry, chilled, and frozen storage areas are properly maintained and organized.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Kitchen, Bakery, Café, and Management teams regarding deliveries and stock requirements.
• Assist in arranging and moving stock within the store and receiving areas when required.
• Ensure all incoming deliveries are received only from approved suppliers and against authorized orders.
• Maintain proper receiving documentation and ensure all records are complete and accurate.
• Support the Storekeeper/Management with inventory reports and stock-related documentation.
• Follow company policies, food safety standards, HACCP requirements, and health & safety procedures.
• Ensure no unauthorized items are received, removed, or issued from the store.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Store, Receiving, or Inventory-related roles, preferably within a café, restaurant, bakery, catering, hotel, food production, or retail environment.
• Previous experience in F&B receiving and stock handling is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of receiving procedures and F&B inventory control.
• Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, expiry-date management, and proper food storage.
• Ability to check delivery quantities, product quality, expiry dates, and supporting documents accurately.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory/stock management systems.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physically fit and able to handle stock and work in receiving/storage areas.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliveries and stock requirements.
• UAE experience in F&B, hospitality, or retail is preferred.

Preferred Candidate

The ideal candidate should understand that F&B receiving and store operations require more than general warehouse experience. The candidate should have practical experience handling fresh and frozen food ingredients, beverages, bakery supplies, packaging materials, consumables, and retail products, while maintaining proper documentation, quality checks, expiry control, and stock rotation.

Candidates with hands-on receiving and store experience in cafés, restaurants, bakeries, catering companies, hotels, or food retail operations are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,800.00 per month
