Job description

About Les Toises

Les Toises – Centre de psychiatrie et psychothérapie is a Swiss private outpatient mental health group founded in Lausanne. What began as a single centre has grown into 9 establishments: 8 in Switzerland and 1 in the UAE; all built around one idea: that specialised psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care should be delivered to the highest clinical standard, and shaped around the individual rather than the diagnosis.

Our new clinic in Dubai

Dubai marks the next step: our first full clinical establishment outside Switzerland.

The Dubai clinic brings the Les Toises model — multidisciplinary, evidence-based, personalised, with real time given to each patient — to a city whose families are international, mobile and often navigating mental health care across several countries and systems. We are building the team now, and the people who join at this stage will help shape how the clinic practises.

The role

We are looking for a Psychologist with a clinical focus on children and adolescents to join the founding clinical team.

The role is open on either a full-time or part-time basis. We are happy to discuss reduced hours, a fixed number of clinical sessions per week, or an arrangement that sits alongside an existing practice. Experience working with families and parent–child systems is a significant advantage: much of the work we do with young people is done with the family in the room.

What you will do

  • Deliver individual psychotherapy to children and adolescents across a range of presentations — anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, neurodevelopmental difficulties, behavioural and emotional regulation, school-related distress
  • Conduct clinical assessments and formulations, and contribute to psychometric and psychoeducational assessment where indicated
  • Work with parents and families, including parental guidance, family sessions and systemic interventions
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and colleagues in multidisciplinary case discussion
  • Liaise, with consent, with schools, paediatricians and other professionals involved in a young person's care
  • Maintain clinical records to Les Toises standards and contribute to the clinic's quality and safeguarding processes
  • Take part in the clinic's teaching, supervision and continuing education programme

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Master's or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Specialist postgraduate training and demonstrable clinical experience in child and adolescent psychology
  • DHA licence as a Psychologist, or eligibility and willingness to complete DHA licensure (we support candidates through the process)
  • Strong grounding in at least one evidence-based modality applied to young people — CBT, systemic/family therapy, EMDR, ACT or psychodynamic child psychotherapy
  • Fluent English, spoken and written
  • Comfort working with an international, multicultural patient population

Desirable

  • Experience with families and parent–child work, including systemic or family therapy training
  • Additional languages — Arabic and/or French are particularly valuable to our patient base
  • Experience with standardised assessment (ADHD, ASD, psychoeducational batteries)
  • Prior experience in a private or multidisciplinary clinic setting
  • Interest in teaching, supervision or clinical research
