Holiday Home Cleaner – Job Description

Position Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across all assigned short‑term rental units. This role ensures every property is guest‑ready, hygienic, well‑organized, and aligned with Richmond Vacation Homes’ quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full cleaning of holiday home units after guest check‑out and before check‑in
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living areas, and balconies
• Change bed linens, towels, and prepare beds according to company standards
• Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and remove all trash
• Restock essential amenities (toiletries, complementary itemsetc.)
• Report any damages, missing items, or maintenance issues immediately
• Ensure proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Maintain cleaning checklists and follow company SOPs
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks when scheduled
• Support Admin with inventory counts (linen, cleaning supplies)
• Ensure all units meet DTCM cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Maintain professional conduct when interacting with guests or building staff

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel cleaning, or holiday homes (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks
• Basic communication skills (English preferred)
• Flexible with working hours, including weekends and peak seasons
