Trading Application Support Engineer | Hedge Fund | Dubai

My client is a fast-growing multi-strategy hedge fund looking to hire a Trading Application Support Engineer to join its expanding technology team in Dubai .

This is a 3–8 years’ experience hire and a strong opportunity for someone currently in trading application support, production engineering or front-office technology who wants to move into a broader, more technical buy-side environment.

The role

• Support business-critical trading applications across global markets
• Work directly with Portfolio Managers and Traders
• Own production issues from investigation through resolution
• Monitor and improve proprietary and third-party trading platforms
• Build and enhance internal applications and tooling
• Work across both production support and hands-on engineering
• Collaborate with experienced engineers across the global technology team

What we’re looking for

• 3–5 years’ experience in application support, production engineering or trading technology
• Strong Python and SQL
• Experience within financial markets / electronic trading
• Strong troubleshooting and production ownership
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, relatively lean environment
• Flexible around later hours to support global trading coverage
• Curious, hands-on and keen to develop technically
• Experience with FlexTrade, Tradeweb, BidFX or Trading Technologies would be useful, but is not essential.

This is not a traditional L1/L2 support position. You’ll have direct exposure to the investment business, work alongside experienced engineers and take on considerably broader technical responsibility than you would typically see within a large bank support function.
