Job description

We are seeking a skilled AC Technician with specialized experience in district cooling chiller systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of large-scale chilled water plants and Energy Transfer Stations (ETS) connected to district cooling networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and repair components of district cooling systems, including ETS equipment, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to chilled water supply, flow, and temperature consistency from the district cooling provider.
  • Collaborate with district cooling operators (e.g., Emicool) to resolve supply or network problems affecting building cooling.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs of HVAC equipment linked to district cooling.
  • Monitor BAS (Building Automation System) and energy management systems to optimize system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain detailed service records and report issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience working with district cooling systems and/or large-scale water-cooled chillers.
  • Strong understanding of Energy Transfer Stations (ETS), chilled water hydraulics, and heat exchanger operation.
  • Knowledge of control systems, valve actuators, and pump operation in district cooling environments.
  • Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Dubai’s district cooling market and providers (e.g., Emicool) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, flow diagrams, and BAS data.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with troubleshooting flow and temperature issues in large buildings served by district cooling.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency calls and coordinate with third-party providers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive maintenance mindset.
