Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, operating Manual Platen Die-Cutting and Foil Stamping Machines. The role involves setting up and running manual platen machines for die-cutting and foil stamping, including preparing tooling, adjusting machine settings, and aligning materials according to job specifications. The professional in this role will monitor production quality, perform basic troubleshooting, and carry out routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include handling substrates, loading and unloading sheets, inspecting finished products for accuracy and defects, and coordinating with the production and quality teams to meet deadlines and customer requirements. Accurate documentation of production runs, adherence to safety standards, and maintaining a tidy work area are expected.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on skills in operating manual platen die-cutting machines, setting up dies, and managing foil stamping processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and technical specifications, with strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting minor machine issues, and performing routine preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with print production workflows, handling different paper and board types, and working safely with industrial equipment.
  • Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills to coordinate effectively with press operators, supervisors, and quality staff.
  • Previous experience in commercial printing or packaging production is highly beneficial; experience with foil stamping is an advantage.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move materials as required, and follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
  • Relevant vocational training or technical certification in printing, packaging, or machine operation is preferred.
