About the JobRole Description

A Furniture Production Worker supports the manufacturing and assembly of furniture products in a workshop or production facility. The role involves preparing materials, operating basic production tools and equipment, assembling furniture components, inspecting finished products, and maintaining a safe and organized production environment.

The position is suitable for candidates with practical experience in furniture manufacturing, carpentry, upholstery, woodworking, or general production. Previous furniture production experience is an advantage but may not be required for entry-level candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the production and assembly of furniture according to specifications and production requirements.
• Prepare wood, panels, hardware, fittings, and other materials for production.
• Measure and mark materials according to drawings, templates, or work instructions.
• Cut, drill, sand, and prepare furniture components using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Assemble furniture frames, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and other products.
• Install hinges, handles, brackets, screws, fittings, and other hardware.
• Assist with attaching furniture components and ensuring proper alignment.
• Operate basic woodworking and furniture production machinery under appropriate supervision.
• Follow production drawings, measurements, templates, and assembly instructions.
• Inspect furniture components for defects, incorrect dimensions, damage, or poor workmanship.
• Check finished furniture for stability, alignment, appearance, and overall quality.
• Perform basic adjustments or corrections when required.
• Assist with packaging and preparing completed furniture for transportation or delivery.
• Handle furniture materials and finished products safely to prevent damage.
• Maintain tools, equipment, workstations, and production areas in clean and organized condition.
• Report damaged materials, defective components, equipment problems, or production issues to supervisors.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
• Minimize material waste and use production materials efficiently.
• Work with other production team members to meet daily manufacturing targets.
• Perform other furniture production and workshop duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience in furniture manufacturing, woodworking, carpentry, assembly, or production is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of furniture materials, measurements, tools, and assembly methods.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely.
• Good practical and manual skills.
• Ability to read basic drawings, measurements, or assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and product quality.
• Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and move furniture materials when required.
• Ability to work in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to meet production schedules and work efficiently.
• Willingness to work shifts or overtime when required.
