Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Boom Loader Operator to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a boom loader (telescopic loader) to lift, move, load, unload, and position heavy materials, equipment, and construction supplies at various heights and locations on construction sites. The role requires strict adherence to all safety regulations and daily equipment inspections.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Operation

Operate the boom loader/telehandler safely and efficiently for lifting and placing materials at required heights and positions.

Load, unload, lift, transport, and position construction materials such as steel, pipes, pallets, blocks, machinery, soil, and equipment.

Lift materials to elevated work areas as required.

Ensure safe movement of materials without damage to personnel, property, or equipment.

2. Safety & Compliance

Follow all lifting plans, load charts, operator guidelines, and site safety instructions strictly.

Ensure the machine is operated within safe load limits and manufacturer specifications.

Inspect the lifting area and ensure ground stability before operating the machine.

Coordinate with site supervisors, riggers, signalmen, and lifting teams during operations using hand signals or radio communication.

Comply with all UAE HSE regulations, company safety policies, and site procedures.

Maintain a safety-first culture on-site, ensuring a hazard-free work environment.

3. Equipment Maintenance & Inspection

Perform daily pre-start inspections of the boom loader before operation (checking hydraulics, brakes, tires, boom condition, lights, fuel, oil, and fluid levels).

Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safe handling of machinery.

Report any equipment defects, breakdowns, mechanical faults, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.

Carry out minor maintenance and keep the equipment clean.

Maintain operational records, checklists, and daily activity logs.

4. Site Support

Assist in general site logistics and material handling activities when required.

Ensure the work area remains clean and free from operational hazards.

Avoid unauthorized use or unsafe operation of equipment.

Requirements

1. License (Mandatory)

Valid UAE Heavy Equipment Operator License / Boom Loader / Telescopic Handler license as per UAE/local regulations.

2. Experience

Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating boom loaders, telehandlers, or similar heavy equipment in construction or mining projects.

UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.

3. Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of lifting operations, load safety limits, and load-handling geometry.

Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, load charts, and site layout drawings.

Good knowledge of construction site operations and safety practices.

Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and inspections.

Excellent coordination and communication skills to work with riggers, signalmen, and site teams.

Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor and high-risk environments.

Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
