Job description

We are seeking an experienced Material Engineer to join our infrastructure projects team in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction materials comply with project specifications, municipal standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, evaluate, and approve construction materials for infrastructure projects.

  • Prepare and submit material approvals, technical submittals, and related documentation.

  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding material specifications and approvals.

  • Monitor material testing activities and ensure compliance with project requirements and Abu Dhabi Municipality standards.

  • Ensure all materials used on-site meet approved specifications and quality standards.

  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks as required.

  • Maintain records of material approvals, test reports, and quality documentation.

  • Support project teams in resolving material-related technical issues.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Material Engineer on infrastructure projects in the UAE.

  • Previous experience working on Abu Dhabi Municipality or Al Ain Municipality infrastructure projects is mandatory.

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure construction materials, specifications, and quality control procedures.

  • Familiarity with municipality approval processes and material submittal procedures.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Roads, utilities, drainage, landscaping, and other infrastructure projects within Abu Dhabi Emirate.

  • Experience working with consultants, municipalities, and government authorities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
