About The Role The Campus Manager plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and organizational health across multiple Amazon locations. Serving as a strategic partner, the Campus Manager collaborates closely with site leadership, HR teams, and regional stakeholders to strengthen the company’s culture, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. This leadership position requires a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement, implementing scalable HR practices, and leading change initiatives that support long-term growth. The Campus Manager is responsible for translating corporate priorities into actionable campus strategies, overseeing day-to-day operations, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. The role involves on-site leadership, regular travel between locations, and direct engagement with employees and managers to ensure operational consistency and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Extensive experience in HR leadership or related fields such as operations, logistics, customer service, or retail
- Fluent in English and German, both spoken and written
- Proven track record of achieving departmental goals through data-driven HR strategies and KPIs
- Experience supporting or leading employee-centric processes including onboarding, benefits, investigations, training, and talent management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels
- Ability to analyze operational data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience managing diverse teams and fostering a culture of inclusion and engagement
Responsibilities
- Ensure disciplined, consistent, and standards-aligned operations across the entire campus, utilizing inspections and data analytics to identify and address gaps
- Drive end-to-end operational excellence through structured routines, process optimization, and effective use of tools and data
- Implement and maintain documentation standards, address systemic issues, and influence central teams for scalable process improvements
- Enhance employee engagement and retention by establishing feedback mechanisms, recognition programs, and safety initiatives
- Partner with site leadership to uphold safety standards, conduct regular inspections, and promote a safety-first culture
- Lead community engagement efforts to strengthen local relationships and corporate social responsibility initiatives
- Oversee investigations, employee relations issues, and escalate complex matters in collaboration with HR, legal, and regional teams
- Manage compliance risks by establishing early warning systems and ensuring adherence to policies and regulations
- Coordinate with governance and labor relations teams to facilitate effective consultation processes and maintain positive labor relations
- Lead regional change initiatives, build stakeholder buy-in, and promote cross-functional collaboration
- Drive the adoption and optimization of HR technology solutions to improve efficiency, data quality, and employee experience
- Support workforce planning, talent development, and succession strategies to ensure organizational agility and readiness
- Coach and develop HR teams, foster leadership growth, and manage headcount and resource allocation effectively
- Translate corporate priorities into regional plans, ensuring alignment with operational goals and organizational strategy
