Furniture carpenter & Helper

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Furniture Carpenter to manufacture, assemble, repair, and install high-quality furniture and wooden fixtures. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings and measurements accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret furniture drawings, sketches, and measurements.
• Cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, MDF, veneer, and other materials.
• Manufacture and repair furniture such as tables, chairs, cabinets, wardrobes, beds, doors, and other wooden fixtures.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting and assembly.
• Install hinges, handles, locks, drawers, fittings, and other hardware.
• Sand, polish, stain, paint, or prepare furniture surfaces as required.
• Inspect finished products to ensure proper dimensions, alignment, strength, and quality.
• Carry out on-site furniture installation and modifications when required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
• Minimize material waste and use materials efficiently.
• Complete assigned work within the required quality standards and deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Furniture Carpenter or Carpenter.
• Good knowledge of woodworking materials, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work from measurements.
• Good understanding of furniture construction and installation.
• Strong attention to detail and finishing quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to handle materials and furniture safely.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in custom furniture manufacturing.
• Experience with modern woodworking machinery.
• Basic knowledge of furniture finishing and polishing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair furniture defects.
• Good time management and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

The role may involve working in a furniture workshop, factory, or customer site. The carpenter may be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy materials or furniture.

Pay: AED100.00 - AED150.00 per day
