Welder

Perform welding on metal components and structures using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, according to project specifications and blueprints.

Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy. Ensure that welds meet industry standards and project requirements.

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements and procedures.

Prepare materials and surfaces for welding by cleaning, cutting, and fitting components as needed.

Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welding machines, torches, and protective gear.

Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ensure that all welds are completed to a high standard and are free from defects. Perform routine checks and tests on welds as required.

Work with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently and address any welding-related issues.

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or diploma in welding or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience as a welder in the oil and gas industry. Experience with large-scale projects is an advantage.

Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Good understanding of welding safety practices and procedures.

Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Relevant welding certifications and qualifications are preferred (e.g., AWS, ASME).
