Job description

Company Description

QAF Closets & Kokio Kitchens specializes in custom closets and kitchens, offering durable and stylish interior solutions. From design and material selection to installation and after-sales support, we provide end-to-end services focused on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Role Description The Imos Drafter is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models for closets, kitchens, and related interior joinery using Imos CAD/CAM software. This full-time, on-site role in Abu Dhabi involves translating design concepts and client requirements into accurate production-ready plans, including cutting lists, hardware specifications, and material details. The Imos Drafter collaborates closely with designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure feasibility, adherence to standards, and alignment with manufacturing capabilities. Daily tasks include updating drawings based on client feedback, coordinating with the factory on design adjustments, maintaining organized project documentation, and supporting installation teams with clear technical information. The role also includes quality checks on drawings, optimizing designs for efficiency and material usage, and contributing to continuous improvement of drafting and documentation processes.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in IMOS CAD/CAM or similar joinery/woodworking design software, with the ability to produce detailed, accurate technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Strong understanding of cabinetry, closets, and kitchen design, including joinery construction methods, hardware selection, and material specifications (e.g., boards, laminates, finishes).
  • Experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings, site measurements, and design briefs, and converting them into production-ready documentation.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, maintain version control, and ensure consistency in all drawings and lists.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, production teams, and installers, including the ability to clarify technical details and resolve design issues.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing and installation processes for closets and kitchens, including an understanding of CNC workflows and shop-floor requirements.
  • Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility to visit project locations or the factory as needed.
  • Relevant technical qualification or diploma in interior design, architecture, joinery drafting, or a related field; prior experience in a closets/kitchens or furniture company is highly beneficial.
