Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and technically competent Land Surveyor to join our project team for a large-scale building construction project in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out accurate land and construction surveying activities, establishing survey controls, setting out construction works, verifying levels and coordinates, and ensuring that all survey activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in building construction projects, excellent knowledge of surveying equipment and software, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, engineers, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all required land and construction surveying activities for the project.
• Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and reference points.
• Conduct accurate setting-out and marking of building structures, foundations, columns, walls, grids, levels, and other construction elements.
• Perform surveys for excavation, earthworks, foundations, structural works, external works, roads, utilities, and infrastructure-related activities.
• Verify existing ground levels, coordinates, dimensions, and site conditions against approved drawings and specifications.
• Carry out topographical surveys, as-built surveys, level surveys, and dimensional checks as required.
• Set out building gridlines, axes, centerlines, structural elements, and architectural elements in accordance with approved IFC drawings.
• Check and verify the position, alignment, elevation, and dimensions of construction works.
• Conduct regular survey checks to ensure that construction activities comply with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, field notes, calculations, sketches, and reports.
• Prepare and review survey data, coordinates, levels, and measurements.
• Perform as-built surveys and provide accurate information for the preparation of as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Architectural, MEP, and other engineering teams to resolve survey-related issues.
• Coordinate with the Consultant, Main Contractor, subcontractors, and project management team regarding surveying activities.
• Identify discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings and immediately report them to the concerned engineer/project team.
• Monitor and maintain the accuracy and calibration of surveying instruments and equipment.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment including Total Station, Auto Level, Digital Level, GPS/GNSS, and other relevant surveying instruments.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of survey equipment.
• Review survey data and perform necessary calculations to ensure accuracy before issuing results.
• Assist engineers and site teams with technical measurements, levels, coordinates, and setting-out requirements.
• Ensure all surveying activities comply with project quality requirements, approved procedures, and applicable UAE standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of all completed survey activities.
• Perform any other surveying-related duties assigned by the Senior Surveyor, Project Manager, or relevant Project Engineer.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in land/construction surveying.
• Proven experience in large-scale building construction projects is mandatory.
• Experience working with an Engineering Consultancy or Main Contractor is acceptable.
• Strong experience in construction setting-out and surveying activities.
• Good knowledge of building construction, structural works, earthworks, excavation, foundations, and external works.
• Proficiency in operating Total Station, Auto Level, GPS/GNSS, and other modern surveying equipment.
• Good knowledge of survey calculations, coordinate systems, benchmarks, levels, and construction control points.
• Ability to read and interpret IFC drawings, structural drawings, architectural drawings, civil drawings, and survey plans.
• Experience in preparing and checking as-built survey data.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and relevant surveying/data-processing software.
• Strong understanding of UAE construction practices and project requirements.
• Good knowledge of surveying procedures, quality requirements, and site safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence is mandatory.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
• Immediate joiners will be given priority.
