jobdescription
As Group IT Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering Dieseko Group’s future-focused international IT strategy. You will translate the organisation’s objectives into a clear IT roadmap and ensure that IT evolves from a support function into a strategic business partner that actively contributes to innovation, efficiency and value creation.
Operating at the intersection of business and technology, you will translate strategic challenges into concrete decisions, solutions and improvement initiatives. Based on your vision for digitalisation, data and technology, you will lead the continued professionalisation of the IT organisation and create a scalable, secure and future-proof IT environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role. In addition to setting the strategic direction, you will be actively involved in execution, working closely with the team and taking ownership of key initiatives and challenges.
You will collaborate closely with the Executive Board, management, various disciplines across the organisation and external IT partners. You will establish clear IT governance and a future-focused IT architecture, ensuring the right balance between standardisation, flexibility and business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the Group IT strategy and roadmap, including identifying opportunities in digitalisation, data and emerging technologies such as AI.
- Align IT strategy, processes, architecture and standards across business units and countries, while preserving the necessary degree of local flexibility.
- Develop and oversee a future-focused IT architecture designed to support scalability, integration, cybersecurity, compliance and business continuity.
- Professionalise the IT organisation by further developing IT governance, portfolio management, decision-making processes and collaboration between the business, IT and external partners.
- Manage the IT investment portfolio by prioritising investments based on business cases, strategic value, risks and expected returns, ensuring that these investments demonstrably contribute to operational efficiency, scalability, data-driven decision-making and commercial support.
- Hold ultimate responsibility for master data governance and data quality, while acting as an ambassador for the continued development of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
- Manage strategic technology partnerships and oversee costs, performance, contractual agreements, service-level agreements and cyber risks across the supplier landscape.
- Lead, coach and develop the IT team, while guiding change initiatives related to new systems, processes and technologies.
- Remain actively involved in the implementation of IT initiatives, addressing operational challenges and ensuring that strategic plans are translated into tangible results.
Your profile
- You are a hands-on leader who not only sets the direction, but also takes an active role in execution. You are comfortable moving between strategic discussions and practical implementation, and you are willing to step in when necessary.
- You have extensive experience in an IT management role, preferably within an international and technically oriented organisation.
- You combine strategic insight with a strong focus on execution and know how to translate an IT vision into a concrete roadmap and measurable results.
- You are a strong business partner who can connect IT, digitalisation and data to the organisation’s objectives.
- You have experience with IT governance, architecture, portfolio management and data management within a complex organisation.
- You can successfully balance central standards with local flexibility and know how to build support for this approach throughout the organisation.
- You have strong change management capabilities, excellent communication skills and can move comfortably between the Executive Board, management, IT teams and external partners.
- You have a strong affinity with digitalisation, data and AI, and you can translate technological developments into concrete business value
What you receive from us
- A high-impact role within an innovative, sustainable and internationally operating company, where you will have the freedom to set the direction, further shape the Group IT strategy and develop IT into a strategic partner for innovation, efficiency and growth.
- A competitive salary and attractive secondary benefits, including 40 days of annual leave, in accordance with the Metalektro Collective Labour Agreement.
- A dynamic and informal working environment with short lines of communication, where collaboration and entrepreneurship are central.
- Opportunities for further personal and professional development within a technically advanced and internationally growing organisation.
