Within the Supply Chain department, comprising Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse and Export, you will play a key role as a NPR Buyer in the strategic and operational procurement of all non-product-related goods and services. These include facility services, IT, transport, energy, HR services, consultancy, tooling, CAPEX and general business assets such as PPE, machinery and tools.
You will be responsible for managing and optimising costs, professionalising supplier relationships and ensuring contractual and compliance agreements within a technical and project-driven mechanical engineering environment. You will liaise closely with internal stakeholders and know better than anyone how to bring supply and demand together in sustainable and efficient solutions.
As an NPR Purchaser, you will successfully fulfil the following objectives:
- Procuring and contracting for NPR-related goods and services.
- Developing and implementing an NPR procurement strategy in line with the company’s objectives.
- Selecting, assessing and developing suppliers and service providers.
- Negotiating prices, terms and conditions, SLAs and contracts.
- Managing contracts, including durations, indexation, notice periods and performance.
- Initiating and realising cost savings based on a TCO approach.
- Supporting and advising internal stakeholders such as facilities, IT, HR, operations and finance.
- Identifying and managing risks relating to business continuity, finance and legal aspects.
- Improving procurement processes, procedures and compliance within the organisation.
- Reporting on spend, savings and supplier performance.
- Processing and managing purchase orders in ERP systems in collaboration with Finance.
Your profile
- You hold a degree at higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) level, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a similar field. NEVI 1 or 2 is an advantage.
- You have at least 5 years’ relevant experience in NPR procurement, preferably within a technical or industrial environment.
- You are experienced in contract management and supplier management.
- You possess strong negotiation skills and are able to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
- You work in an analytical, structured and cost-conscious manner.
- You are a strong communicator, persuasive and results-oriented.
- You have a proactive and independent approach to work and an affinity for technology and project organisations.
- You are administratively accurate and proficient with systems.
- You have knowledge of procurement methodologies and TCO analyses.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably D365 F&O) is an advantage.
- You have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
