Job description

Help ensure the quality, integrity and compliance behind the services that society relies on

Every day, NMi supports trust in measurements, certifications and regulatory compliance. Behind this work is a robust system of quality management, accreditation, technical governance and continuous improvement. Maintaining these standards is essential to ensuring that our services remain reliable, independent and internationally recognised.

We are looking for a Technical, Quality & Risk (TQR) Manager who will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening this foundation. In this role, you oversee NMi’s quality management system, coordinate audits and accreditation activities, support compliance initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

You are the central point of contact for Technical, Quality & Risk matters within NMi. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you help ensure that quality, compliance and safety requirements are effectively translated into daily practice. You advise managers and teams on quality, compliance and operational risk matters, monitor the effectiveness of processes and improvement actions, and help ensure that NMi remains compliant with accreditation requirements, internal standards and applicable legislation.

This is a broad and hands-on role in which you combine operational involvement with ownership of key quality and compliance processes. You work across departments, engage with both internal and external stakeholders, and contribute directly to the quality and integrity of NMi’s services and operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and continuously improve NMi’s Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, accreditation assessments and follow-up actions
  • Monitor and manage non-conformities, incidents, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and further develop QHSSE procedures, documentation and related management systems
  • Advise managers and colleagues on quality, compliance, health & safety and operational risk matters
  • Monitor compliance with accreditation requirements, legislation, and internal policies, and support their practical implementation
  • Prepare TQR reports, management review input, and performance insights to support continuous improvement
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organisation

What you’ll get:

  • The opportunity to contribute to an organisation that plays a vital role in ensuring trust in measurements, certifications and regulatory compliance
  • A broad and visible role with responsibility across quality, compliance, accreditation and health & safety activities
  • The opportunity to work closely with technical experts, certification specialists and operational teams
  • An international working environment with colleagues and clients worldwide
  • A competitive salary based on your experience
  • A 13th month salary (paid monthly), holiday allowance, and profit sharing
  • 30 days of annual leave, with the option to buy or sell additional days
  • Hybrid working options
  • A solid pension scheme
  • Travel reimbursement, home office allowance, and collective health insurance
  • Access to sports benefits

What you bring

  • HBO degree in a relevant field such as Quality Management, Safety, Laboratory Operations, Process Management, Engineering or similar
  • Several years of experience in quality management, compliance, accreditation, health & safety or related disciplines
  • Experience coordinating audits, managing non-conformities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, structured documentation processes and compliance frameworks
  • Understanding of accreditation environments, regulatory requirements and risk-based thinking
  • The ability to translate quality and compliance requirements into practical solutions and actions
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and hands-on approach combined with attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Fluent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and spoken
