Job description

The Partner Development Director (PDD) is responsible for developing and managing strategic ecosystem partnerships for the Accenture Microsoft Business Group. This role is focused on driving measurable business growth by building senior stakeholder relationships, enabling joint go-to-market priorities, supporting sales origination, and mobilizing alliance programs that create value for Accenture, Microsoft, and clients.

The PDD is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, translate alliance strategy into executable market actions, influence senior internal and partner stakeholders, and contribute to pipeline growth, offering enablement, campaign execution, and relationship health across assigned priorities.

Sales Enablement:

Support sales growth by originating, shaping, qualifying, and progressing Microsoft-enabled opportunities in partnership with Accenture client teams and market development stakeholders.

Manage assigned alliance programs and initiatives to improve sales performance, increase field adoption, and drive stronger business outcomes.

Enable go-to-market strategies by helping structure joint initiatives, identify priority plays, and coordinate execution across Accenture and Microsoft stakeholders.

Contribute to annual and periodic alliance planning, including resource needs, joint marketing activities, offering development, investment priorities, and capability-building plans.

Support resale enablement by helping establish expectations, routes to market, and operating alignment with alliance partners and resale stakeholders.

Coordinate investment and market development fund activities to support Accenture offerings, priority campaigns, and practice growth areas.

Partner with offering and solution teams to enhance Accenture offerings using Microsoft technologies and ecosystem capabilities.

Qualify, develop, and mobilize third-party-enabled go-to-market campaigns, ensuring campaign readiness, stakeholder alignment, and measurable follow-through.

Maintain relevant Microsoft technology awareness and, where required, pursue certifications or enablement to strengthen campaign and field readiness.

Relationship management:

Actively manage day-to-day and strategic relationships with Microsoft and relevant ecosystem stakeholders across assigned focus areas.

Build and maintain sales-oriented relationships with Microsoft regional leaders, account teams, and Accenture stakeholders to strengthen field alignment and accelerate joint opportunities.

Serve as an Accenture ambassador for the alliance relationship, collaborating with technology, industry, service line, market unit, and vendor relationship leaders to support partnering strategies.

Maintain leadership alignment by engaging executive sponsors and relevant business leaders, providing alliance insights, and supporting decisions on priority pursuits and investments.

Identify target markets and qualify potential opportunities emerging from Microsoft-led or joint go-to-market activity.

Contribute alliance perspective, competitive intelligence, and partner insights to joint account planning, win strategies, and proposal responses.

Escalate field issues, relationship blockers, and execution risks in a timely manner while driving practical resolution through the right stakeholder channels.

Collaboration with

Accenture Microsoft Business Group leadership and alliance leadership for strategy execution, priorities, governance, and performance reviews.

Microsoft partner executives, regional leaders, account teams, and field stakeholders to align priorities and activate joint opportunities.

Client account teams, sales teams, market development teams, and resale directors to drive awareness, demand generation, and sales opportunity support.

Business, industry, service offering, and solution leads to shape Microsoft enabled offerings and joint market propositions.

Alliance formation, legal, commercial, marketing, finance, business operations, capability development, and HR teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100 depending on business need and client requirements.
