Job description

Company Description The Business Bulletin is a student-led podcast created by students, for students, focusing on real-world insights into business and careers. Each episode features conversations with senior business leaders from major regional companies, exploring how they built their careers, how their organizations operate, and key lessons learned. Episodes are recorded and distributed on Spotify and YouTube, making the content easily accessible to a wide audience. The podcast is designed for young, curious listeners who want to better understand the business world and gain practical guidance for their own professional journeys. Team members collaborate in a dynamic, learning-focused environment that values curiosity, initiative, and creativity.

Role Description As a Podcast Editor Intern at The Business Bulletin, you will support the full production lifecycle of podcast episodes in an online, part-time role based in Dubai. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing audio and video recordings for clarity and quality, trimming segments, adjusting sound levels, and ensuring a consistent tone across episodes. You will help prepare episodes for release on platforms such as Spotify and YouTube, including file formatting, basic metadata, and quality checks before publication. The role also involves collaborating with hosts and producers to refine episode structure, add intro/outro elements, and integrate music or other sound assets in line with brand guidelines. You may assist with organizing recording schedules, maintaining file libraries, and suggesting creative improvements to enhance listener engagement and overall production value. This is not a paid internship.

Qualifications

  • Foundational skills in audio and video editing using common editing tools (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of podcast production workflows, including recording, post-production, and publishing to platforms such as Spotify and YouTube.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct audio issues, maintain consistency, and follow brand and quality guidelines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with a student-led team and receive constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrated interest in business, media, or storytelling, and a willingness to learn and experiment with new production techniques.
  • Organizational skills for managing files, meeting deadlines, and supporting a regular episode release schedule.
