Job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Pulmonologist to join our healthcare team in Dubai. The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of respiratory and pulmonary disorders while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and maintaining the highest standards of medical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic respiratory diseases, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, sleep-related breathing disorders, and other pulmonary conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs), chest imaging, arterial blood gases (ABGs), bronchoscopy findings, and other diagnostic investigations.
- Perform bronchoscopic procedures and other pulmonary interventions as appropriate.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Manage patients requiring respiratory support, including non-invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy.
- Collaborate with intensivists, internal medicine physicians, thoracic surgeons, and other specialists for comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, preventive care, smoking cessation, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with DHA regulations and hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education activities.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and ethical medical practices.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Master's Degree, MD, DNB, or equivalent specialization in Pulmonology/Respiratory Medicine.
- DHA Eligibility Letter, DHA License, or eligibility to obtain a DHA license as a Specialist Pulmonologist.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred).
- Fellowship or additional training in Interventional Pulmonology or Sleep Medicine is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-specialization experience as a Specialist Pulmonologist.
- Experience in bronchoscopy, pulmonary function testing, and management of critical respiratory conditions.
- Previous experience in a reputable hospital or multispecialty healthcare facility is preferred.
