Job description

As an Engineer in Offshore & Shipbuilding, you play a crucial role in creating safe, sustainable and efficient projects on or offshore. From shipbuilding to floating offshore platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Instrumentation engineers in an engineering project environment
  • Incident handling, user support, troubleshooting, and coordination with the vendor
  • Working closely with engineering, IT, and other application support teams
  • Maintaining application stability, availability, and data quality
  • Creating and maintaining reports and data extracts
  • Being first point of contact for instrument engineers/designers in case of tool issues

Requirements

  • Experience with Smart (Plant) Instrumentation as Engineer and/or Designer
  • Strong application support background, preferably in an engineering or industrial environment
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience, including writing and maintaining SQL queries
  • Experience with reporting tools, specifically Infomaker
  • Experience with incident management and user support processes
  • Good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Experience with working in a support team
  • Familiarity with interfaces to other engineering systems and databases is a strong plus
  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field is required. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Google Cloud Certified: Professional Cloud Architect are highly recommended. Proficiency in administering and managing digital solutions, including cloud platforms, enterprise software, and digital tools, is essential. A master's degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital solution administration, IT systems management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a senior or specialist role.
  • Proven experience in deploying, configuring, and managing digital solutions across various platforms, including cloud-based environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in system administration, including the management of servers, databases, and application environments.
  • Supporting Instrumentation engineers in an engineering project environment
