Site Engineer – Electrical

Be part of our Project Execution team as a Site Engineer – Electrical in Jeddah , KSA. What are my responsibilities?

• Lead and supervise the site installation of electrical, control, and associated IT infrastructure for Cargo and Baggage Handling Systems.
• Plan, organize and coordinate daily electrical installation activities, including allocation of manpower, work fronts, materials, tools and equipment.
• Manage and supervise the electrical site team and/or subcontractors, ensuring installation activities are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate the installation and readiness of electrical panels and relevant field devices, power distribution, communication networks and associated system infrastructure.
• Coordinate with civil contractors and other stakeholders to ensure areas, interfaces and prerequisites are ready in line with the installation sequence.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, cable schedules, I/O lists, network layouts and other technical documentation required for site installation.
• Identify drawing, engineering and site discrepancies and coordinate with the relevant Engineering teams for timely resolution.
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Controls/PLC, IT, Engineering, Commissioning and other project disciplines to ensure all prerequisites and interfaces are addressed in line with the installation and commissioning sequence.
• Monitor site progress, productivity, manpower, materials, and constraints, and provide regular updates to the Site Manager.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure timely availability of electrical materials, tools, consumables and equipment required for site execution.
• Support Quality inspections, testing activities, punch-list/snags closure, as-built documentation and final system handover.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, security, environmental, and quality requirements throughout site execution.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in electrical installation and site execution within industrial automation, material handling, logistics, or similar automated systems. Experience in Cargo or Baggage Handling Systems is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in leading site teams and/or subcontractors for electrical installation activities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, including LV power distribution, control panels and relevant field devices installation and commissioning.
• Ability to read, understand, and evaluate electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, panel drawings, cable schedules, I/O lists, and installation drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD, knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve site and engineering interface issues.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams.
• Good command of English; Arabic or other languages would be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel and work on projects within and outside KSA as required.
