Job Description

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and material-handling equipment at company yards, warehouses, industrial sites, and project locations. The operator will assist in loading, unloading, moving, lifting, and positioning materials and equipment while following company and site safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, lift, transport, and stack materials.
• Move pipes, steel products, machinery, pallets, scrap materials, and other equipment as instructed.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Position materials in designated storage areas and maintain proper stacking.
• Inspect the forklift before and after each shift.
• Check tires, forks, hydraulics, brakes, lights, warning alarms, and other safety components.
• Report mechanical problems, damage, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Follow site traffic rules, lifting procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Maintain safe distances from workers, vehicles, structures, and other equipment.
• Ensure loads are properly balanced and secured before moving.
• Assist with general yard, warehouse, and material-handling activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping around the operating area.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and coordinate with drivers, riggers, and other site personnel.
• Complete equipment or operating records when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant forklift/heavy-equipment operating experience; DGGT's recent hiring post specified 1+ year for the Excavator/Forklift Operator role. ‏‏LinkedIn
• Valid UAE forklift/operator license or certification appropriate to the equipment and worksite.
• Good knowledge of forklift controls and safe operating practices.
• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, construction, industrial, oil & gas, or equipment-hire environments is an advantage.
• Ability to safely handle heavy materials and operate in a busy yard or industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors and/or in industrial environments.
• Willingness to work overtime, shifts, weekends, or at different project locations when required.
• Good safety awareness, reliability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

• Experience handling pipes, steel, heavy machinery, or industrial materials.
• Experience working in ICAD/Mussafah, construction, oil & gas, or heavy transport environments.
• Experience operating counterbalance forklifts, reach trucks, or other material-handling equipment.
• Familiarity with basic daily equipment inspection and reporting.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
