Job description
This is a senior individual contributor role within the System Design & Business Intelligence unit of a technology company, based in Riyadh. The position sits in the Government Products division and carries grade I4.
The Role
The Senior Consultant is responsible for establishing and leading enterprise data management capabilities across the organisation. This covers data quality, data catalog, and master data management. The role ensures that enterprise data assets are reliable, consistent, discoverable, accessible, and governed in line with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and data privacy obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise data management frameworks aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Establish standards, methodologies, and operating models for data management practices.
- Define strategic priorities for data quality, data catalog, and master data management initiatives.
- Establish and maintain data quality standards, controls, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Define data quality metrics and performance indicators to track accuracy and consistency.
- Identify and remediate data quality issues across enterprise systems.
- Lead the implementation and management of enterprise data catalog capabilities.
- Ensure business and technical metadata are captured, maintained, and governed correctly.
- Improve data discoverability, transparency, and accessibility across the organisation.
- Support implementation of data governance policies, standards, and controls.
- Ensure data management practices align with regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with governance, cybersecurity, and privacy teams to strengthen data controls.
- Establish processes governing the creation, maintenance, usage, retention, and disposal of enterprise data.
- Define data stewardship responsibilities and accountability models across business functions.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure data assets support operational and strategic objectives.
- Facilitate availability of trusted data that supports analytics and decision-making.
- Act as subject matter expert in data management, data quality, data catalog, and master data management.
- Develop awareness programmes that promote a data-driven culture across the organisation.
- Comply with departmental policies, standard operating procedures, information security practices, and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum six years of experience in data management, data governance, data quality, business intelligence, data analytics, or related domains.
- Professional certifications in data management, data governance, data quality, or master data are preferred.
