Facilities Engineer

1. Facility & Equipment Maintenance

• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance for facility systems such as HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection, compressed air, water systems, and plumbing.
• Ensure all facility equipment operates efficiently and with minimal downtime.

2. Contractor & Stakeholder Management

• Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure work quality, safety, and SLA compliance.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate contracts, and manage repair or upgrade projects.
• Coordinate with Production, HSE, Quality teams, and external authorities on facility-related matters.

3. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance

• Implement and enforce workplace safety procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements and assist during audits and inspections.

4. Production & Project Support

• Ensure utilities such as power, compressed air, and chilled water meet production requirements.
• Support facility improvement, equipment upgrade, and plant modification projects.
• Assist with facility layout changes for new equipment or production lines.

5. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare and maintain SOPs, maintenance records, technical manuals, and emergency procedures.
• Update and interpret engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Monitor utility usage, maintenance costs, equipment performance, and downtime using Excel.
• Analyze data to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and operational performance.
• Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and conduct root-cause analysis.

6. Other Duties

• Assist with production and engineering activities as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Facilities Engineering, Building Maintenance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1-year relevant working experience in facilities management or manufacturing plant engineering.
• Good understanding of M&E utility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, fire protection, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification (or actively working towards accreditation) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, including 2D drafting and layout modifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with multilingual staff, suppliers, and regional equipment vendors.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage contractors effectively, adapt to changing operational needs, and respond to critical facility or equipment issues when required.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $5,500.00 per month
