As a Procurement Category Manager for Sustainability Services at Nespresso, you will develop, validate and implement global sourcing strategies for Nespresso’s indirect materials spend across Sustainability Services. You will drive business value and competitive advantage while helping reduce operational risk through efficient, effective category management. Accountable for end-to-end spend management, you will manage external relationships with Sustainability Services suppliers and lead supplier management activities to ensure on-time, in-full and quality delivery. You will also partner closely with Nestlé businesses to ensure early procurement involvement in all projects.
How you’ll make an impact as a Procurement Category Manager
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across markets to drive business success and shared value creation.
- Lead sourcing activities from requirement analysis through RFPs and supplier selection, aligned with category strategies.
- Conduct category, supplier market, and risk analyses to identify synergies and optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Influence business decisions through data-driven category recommendations and strategic stakeholder engagement.
- Drive value creation by delivering category targets, securing supply, and negotiating best-TCO contracts and agreements.
- Strengthen resilience through supplier risk management, business continuity planning, and sustainability-focused partnerships.
- Integrate supplier innovation, monitor KPIs, and provide reporting to support performance and decision-making.
What will make you successful
- Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or Natural Sciences.
- Solid experience in procurement, category management, or a related role in an international context.
- Experience with sustainability-related services such as recycling, waste management, circular economy, climate or nature-based solutions is an advantage.
- Strong project management and ownership mindset, with the ability to drive complex, multi-country initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working with data, digital tools and business systems to support analysis and decision-making.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Embodying our WECAN behaviors: Speed over Perfection, Collaboration over Consensus, Courage over Comfort and Learning over Knowledge.
At Nespresso, we grow together in a culture of care, inclusion, and innovation
Our benefits are designed to support your growth and wellbeing, so you can thrive at work and in life:
- Flexible working options, including hybrid work possibilities (for office-based roles)
