Job description
The Attach & Train Programme is a structured talent development programme designed to build skilled talent for Singapore’s advanced biomedical manufacturing sector through practical, industry-based training that develops the technical skills and capabilities needed to support the industry’s current and future workforce needs.
As a Biotechnologist Trainee, your development will take place through a 15-month structured on-the-job training programme within our Biologics Manufacturing team. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support the production of complex, cell-based medicines under high quality and compliance standards, helping to ensure a safe and reliable supply of medicines to patients.
Due to the nature of the programme and its eligibility requirements, applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
What You’ll Do

Support cGMP manufacturing operations for biologics drug substance, working in accordance with required quality and safety standards, production schedules and plans.

Depending on your assigned area, you may support:

Upstream – Vial thaw, inoculation, cell culture and recovery.

Downstream – Chromatography, filtration, ultrafiltration and final filling.

Central Services – Buffer and media preparation, autoclave, glasswash and cleaning processes, and sampling of raw materials.

Execute assigned manufacturing operations, including equipment cleaning, set-up and stream-specific activities.

Complete and review batch documentation for accuracy and completeness, and resolve documentation errors promptly.

Support shift operations and troubleshooting, and report anomalous processing events to the Lead Biotechnologist or Manufacturing Supervisor.

Maintain inventory, required training and overall plant readiness to support operations.

Identify improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
What You’ll Learn

Hands-on technical proficiency operating equipment and running processes within your assigned manufacturing stream.

Develop a strong foundation in batch documentation, quality/safety compliance and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing is an advantage.

Exposure to SAP, LIMS or MES through internships, projects or prior experience would be an advantage.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
