Business Analyst Managed Reporting (Data)
Location: Amersfoort, The Netherlands
Hours: 36 hours per week
Start Date: A.s.a.p.
End Date: 5 February 2027

For a leading Dutch bank, we are looking for two experienced Business Analysts Managed Reporting to join the Home Financing data domain.
You will become part of a newly established Managed Reporting Team responsible for improving reporting capabilities and supporting data-driven decision-making within one of the largest mortgage environments in the Netherlands. The team operates within the Risk, Data & Quants domain and plays a key role in regulatory reporting, data quality, and business intelligence initiatives.
This is a hands-on Business Analyst role with a strong focus on stakeholder management, data analysis, reporting migration, and Agile delivery. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, developers, and product owners to translate business needs into meaningful reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements through stakeholder workshops and interviews.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support Product Owners with backlog management and prioritization.
- Analyze existing reporting solutions and identify migration requirements.
- Assess current reporting assets on the existing data platform and support migration to a new target platform.
- Translate requirements into Azure DevOps work items and support Agile delivery teams.
- Analyze, test, validate, and improve data models, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Support adoption of dashboards and reporting products across the organization.
- Create documentation, user guides, and supporting materials.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven optimization.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum teams.
Current Assignment
One of the team's first major assignments will focus on analyzing the current reporting landscape on an existing data platform and supporting migration towards a new reporting environment. This includes extensive stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis, SQL-based data analysis, and Power BI reporting migration activities.
What We Are Looking For
You are an experienced Business Analyst who is comfortable operating at the intersection of Business, Data, and IT. You can quickly understand complex environments, challenge stakeholders, and translate business requirements into actionable solutions.
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within data, reporting, or business intelligence environments.
- Strong experience gathering and translating business requirements into user stories and functional specifications.
- Experience working with Managed Reporting and Power BI.
- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and validate SQL code.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting data migrations and reporting transformations.
- Proactive mindset and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience within banking, mortgage, or financial services environments.
- Knowledge of dimensional modelling, fact tables, and dimension tables.
- Experience with regulatory reporting.
- Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate certification.

Additional Information
- Initial contract duration is approximately 6 months with a possible extension up to 9 months, depending on business needs.
- Two interview rounds are planned.
