Job description

We are looking for a proactive and responsible Receptionist / Office Manager who likes to have diverse responsibilities. You will handle visitors, deal with inquiries, both on the phone and face-to-face, and handle general administrative and office support tasks. Being welcoming and full of initiative, you make sure that our team members, (international) guests and suppliers are adequately helped.

The Receptionist is based in our European Head office in Amersfoort. The Receptionist reports to the Hospitality Manager. This is a full-time position with working hours between 7:30-16:00.

Within Applied Medical the title of this position is Receptionist Key Responsibilities Reception (70%)

  • Welcome and assist visitors and notify team members of guest arrival
  • Answer telephone, take, deliver messages and forward calls internally
  • Manage reception email folder (outlook/ calendar)
  • Receive and sort daily mail/documents/deliveries/couriers
  • Prepare daily batch of invoices in order to send them by priority mail

Office management (30%)

  • Maintain supplies in meeting rooms
  • Order, organize and maintain stock of office supplies
  • Manage access badges according to the access control procedure

What You Bring

  • MBO / vocational education degree
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures as well as customer service practices
  • Proactive and helpful attitude and able to think of solutions independently
  • Like to take responsibility and think yourself about the actions/follow-up that are needed
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Windows-based computer applications
  • Professional appearance and able to act with discretion and diplomacy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • Fulltime availability (5 days per week, 7:30-16:00)
