Olympus is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Manager to join our team. This role is based in the West Switzerland region ( French Speaking) and offers an exciting opportunity to represent our cutting-edge Surgical Endoscopy & Devices product range.
As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring sales activities for Olympus’s Surgical Endoscopy & Devices portfolio.
Your efforts will focus on promoting endoscopy towers for laparoscopy and handheld instruments, ensuring we meet or exceed our sales and contribution margin targets within your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and sell surgical instruments and equipment from the Laparoscopy Imaging and Surgical Devices divisions.
- Develop and execute sales forecasts in collaboration with sales management.
- Provide expert advice and support to customers and prospective clients.
- Regularly acquire new customers and maintain strong relationships.
- Assist in organizing and conducting customer events such as trade fairs, workshops, and seminars.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities through independent research to stay ahead of industry developments.
- Report activities and plan weekly sales strategies.
- Execute sales tasks accurately within your territory.
- Achieve and exceed set sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager and internal sales support team.
- Authority & Decision-Making.
- You will have the authority for daily sales activities and pricing decisions within established minimum margins.
- You are empowered to take all necessary actions to fulfill your duties, with your scope of authority regularly updated in accordance with company policies.
- Keep sales management informed about order status, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Follow all relevant quality management guidelines.
- Share suggestions for process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate effectively with the Sales Manager and inside sales team.
What experience are we looking for?
- Proven experience in sales ideally within healthcare/medical devices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Independent, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage your territory autonomously.
- Clinical or Bioscience background
- Fluent in French
- Good knowledge of English
- German speaking would be an advantage but not essential
- Valid driving licence
